No amount of salt could make my greasy scrambled eggs taste good my mother's Eggs Benedict was both overcooked (the eggs) and undercooked (the english muffin) the pancakes and waffles had the flavor profile of a nice cardstock and the bacon was jerky-tough and bland. It was as though our table existed in a Cone of Blandness, and every bite lacked the flavor it should have had. The six of us finished off our single carafe of water in the first 5 minutes and it was never refilled, nor could we get anyone's attention to ask for another. Our server was brusque-okay, I've lived in New England, I can handle brusque-and pretty much ignored us when she wasn't actively taking our order or slamming our plates on the table without comment.
most I can say for our experience at Le Peep is that we were greeted pleasantly upon entering. We passed up all the usual fast food options, hoping to have a nice sit-down meal and a chance to relax after a couple hours on the road. My mother, myself, and my four children recently ate at Le Peep while passing through Valpo.
